In a new presentation [PDF link] to investors about the company as a whole, Sony revealed plans to add 3D capability to PS3 games via a firmware update: "All PS3 units will be firmware-upgradeable to 3D," it says.

Sony says it's aiming to "lead the 3D market," and pointed to plans to offer 3D-specific tools to developers making games on its platform. (Some console games such as Blitz's PSN title Invincible Tiger have custom coded 3D stereoscopic modes, and Disney's G-Force has a less sophisticated red-blue 3D glasses version, but there's no system-wide solution.)

I can get to the "Press start to install v1.93" screen and I press start. Then a few more times. Nothing. I figure, okay, maybe the screen just doesnt update until the files are fully copied. I let it go for 20 minutes and still nothing.

I restart and all is well, only still on 1.88.

I've tried a few things such as fastloader.7 (which came up with 3 corrupted file icons for me). And I tried UMD dumper (which comes up with "this game could not be started (8002014C)

Hopefully someone can point me to a program that will work, or maybe help me get one of these to work.

We've tried everything and what works in 5.50GEN-D2 has not worked in the 5.03GEN-B. Pity ...

* The Recovery mode menu is "mixed"
The RECOVERY MODE 5.02GEN-A has been patched to run on the PSP-3000. It can change the most usual options but we encounter some problems with this VSH Recovery in and we have not managed to fix it.
