Final Fantasy VII Rated For US PSN

Are your seatbelts fastened? Get ready, Playstation fans. This morning, the ESRB updated with a new listing, and it’s one you might be pleased to hear. That’s right, Final Fantasy VII has been rated for the PS3 and PSP.

It’s hard to believe that this legendary RPG has existed for over 12 years, spawning spin offs (Before Crisis, Dirge of Cerberus, Crisis Core), movies (Advent Children) and countless bad cosplay suits, but never a true remake. Rumors have been surfacing for a remake for years, but this addition of the PS1 Classics version of the game could mean that an HD Final Fantasy VII is a lot farther off than we might like. While no date has been confirmed as of yet, the fact that Advent Children Complete releases in the US the day of Sony’s E3 press conference means that Tuesday is as good a time as any to expect this landmark title to hit the Playstation Store. You’re free to keep the remake wishes coming, but it looks like we won’t be seeing one for quite some time.

Can't say I blame him entirely. I preferred FF8 and FF9 to 7. Granted, 7 had qualities that the other's didn't such as optional playable characters, but still, it (in my mind) isn't the power house that everyone makes it out to be.

Well i do somewhat agree about the over-ratedness. For PSX exclusive releases alone i'd rank them VIII > VII >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> IX. Nine did nothing for me.....but then i think X-2 is pretty good and X is massively over scored too.

its not the gameplay that made it my favorite game,
the story, the backgrounds, the music, the fmv's
when i played it, it felt more than a "game" for me
but that just me ;)
