Zeebo launched in Brazil!!!

The videogame 100% antipiracy (until when?) was launched this week in Brazil.

The new console has not cd/dvd's drivers or slots for cartdriges, all the games are bought and downloaded from 3G wireless, used by mobile phones.

The firsts games are not THAT games, but we have Street Fighter Alpha, Need for Speed Carbon, Resident Evil 4, FIFA SOCCER '09, Tekken 2, Quake I and II, Crash Kart and others...

The graphicals are between PS1/PS2 and the games are really cheap...

Zeebo has two types of joysticks, one tradicional, very similar to the old SNES one, with two analogs; and other wireless with motion sensitivity in boomerang form.

I don't know exactily how the things will work, but seems like you first launch Zeebo will apears a browser where the user will input his personal data. Every time you start Zeebo, after that, your personalized browser will be your first screen.

In that screen you will see, among others informations, all the games you have bought with your account and are stored in the internal flash memory of Zeebo.

I thing the weak point is that the console has a memory card slot (like that ssd cards from mobiles). TecToy says it is not used to store games, BUT...

Last month Zeebo was released in Mexico, with a new design for the joystick. It seems the next step will be India.

I think, at least by now, there are not plans to lauch Zeebo in the "videogame's great markets", like Japan, Europe, and USA.
