Not too along ago the release of’ Unofficial PSARdumper of Red Bull made it possible to decrypt PSP Official Firmware 5.55 open the possibility of a PSP Custom Firmware 5.55 to be release by any PSP Custom Firmware developers who are able to used the PSARdumper to help with the creation of a custom firmware for the PSP .

Some sources have stated that PSP Firmware 5.55 has been completely decrypted according to www.PSP-Ita.com post which could be found here But of course as always, Only will tell if Custom Firmware developers will take a advantage of this to create a new PSP Custom Firmware which to be honest with you hope they do.

Maybe the new PSP CFW 5.55 will probably be able to handle Sony anti-piracy technical it has been using for awhile which does not let a PSP game played unless users play with a official PSP Firmware 5.55 or PSP game not playing if a Custom Firmware is install on a PSP . But who knows with all this new features and hacks PSP Custom Firmware and the homebrew community put together, it’s just matter of time before they do come out with a new Custom Firmware for the PSP and defeat Sony anti PSP Custom Firmware security .

It's only a partial dump so far, and it seems in all likelihood that it's little different to 5.50. Which would mean that the call for authentication is coming from within the game code to verify a file from the PSP's flashed firmware. Unless someone can work out what the target is (.....is it a M33 component, is it a missing OFW component?) this will prove a stumbling block.

yea definitively ..

and i am still waiting for a method like ChickHEN for my new PSP 3000 which has OFW 5.50
to run Homebrew and Games from MS.

That would be the Medal Of Honor exploit if anything comes of it...although it would be user mode and not kernel.
