AutoCFR: blazing fast MKV>MP4
AutoCFR
This is a remuxing program chain that can take 'problematic to transcode' MKV's and spit out a MP4 with AAC audio. (Optionally NOT encoding AC3) Note that my main focus was PS3, but it should work with the psp and standalone players, PROVIDED that the video stream itself is compatible. It has safe file handling and cleans up after itself. Since the PS3 doesn't really like softsubs in mp4 files, I haven't bothered to convert or integrate them, but I have allowed them to be kept in the output folder. (Currently bugged, for who knows what reason) To install and use: -Extract to a given folder -put any MKV's you have in the "Input" folder -Double click the AutoCFR.exe and wait a few minutes. -Enjoy your MP4s! For subtitles IN THEORY, the first found will be put in the MP4 Out folder as VideoName.sub and subsequent in a video will have " - 2" and so on added. EX: VideoName.ass VideoName - 2.ass VideoName - 3.ass Supported Video: ANY! No promises that YOUR video will work with your device though! Supported Audio: AAC AC3 Not fully tested in this revision of AutoCFR (but shouldnt have any issues): dts dtshd mp1 mp2 mp3 wv wav ogg flac Supported Subs: ssa ass idx sub srt (Note that preservation is currently bugged, fixed soon enough) If people need more, let me know. These formats should be most widely encountered, though. Known limitations: -Only supports one video track (the first encountered) at the moment -No subtitle integration Bam! Can be found in the root folder here: Http:qriist.livedrive.com I THINK I have fixed the sync issues, which I believe arose from using CFR video with the tool-chain. I can't quite say without feedback, though, so LET ME KNOW! (Or bootleg will ninja your soul.) |

Awww.....i feel honoured. Nice work Qriist...if it lives up to your claims hats off to you!
![]() And yes the PSP has apps such as PMPlayer which can support soft subs, which are the .srt file format. |

Re: AutoCFR: blazing fast MKV>MP4
Srt subs? No problem. I do need to know if they are integrated or external. Should I include exporting to multiple formats? Sub files are small and could maybe help those that need it.
Also, anyone know the deal with ps3 and softsubs? I'd love to get that one figured out. |

Re: AutoCFR: blazing fast MKV>MP4
I'm not an expert in subs Qriist (not ever really used them to be honest), but if i were you i'd pick a player like PMPlayer Advance and see how you can best use your time. As far as i know they're external in that particular app.

Re: AutoCFR: blazing fast MKV>MP4
gotcha xist. I think for the moment I'll just forgo the sub support, it's a bit of a hassle, really. (And frankly, not being able to make an MP4 with subtitles the ps3 shows kinda makes it pointless for me.) I'll allow the extracted subs to be kept and moved to the output folder. The main draw of this program is the fast remuxing and sync rentention, which is lacking in some others.
I'll up it after some food gets in my belly.

Released. For those that ninja in, give it a couple minutes to finish uploading.
Also, I unveiled the CeX Downloads on my private storage. Yay! Not much there at the moment, but by all means, let me know what you want! |

I've got a couple of friends to try it, and i've even tried it myself, but it doesn't appear that the audio syncs correctly.

Re: AutoCFR: blazing fast MKV>MP4
That can't be right. Wife is working a night shift so nothing will happen until tomorrow. I swear it works forme. In the mean time, if you look in the autocfrtools folder, you will find mkvinfo.exe. Use that from command line to get me more samples...if you want that is. Remember to redirect to file and make sure the samples are varied.
