skapps is temporary down and my account can't post at psx-scene for unknow reaseon, so I post it here. Although I dunno is this correct place or not.

So, I’ve successfully used hdloader for a while. I found hdl patched cb about a week or two ago and try to use it and got no result. Whatever version I try I end up with a blank screen although rca patch works fine. I’ve give up and used to think the reason is my quite legacy modchip – mars 2. Recently I try to load hdl from cb just in case and I got it. The true reason CB can’t load HDL was a usb stick I used. This is a ordinary FAT32 formatted 2 Gb usb stick from Kingston. UlaunchElf, SMS Player and CB works fine with it, although ulaunchelf sometimes doesn’t load an elf from it saying “this is not an elf” although successfully load the same file from cd/dvd or mc.

I post it here just to make people know usb sticks may be a reason to CB won’t work in spite of either existing or not existing of CB_launch.elf or boot.elf on mass media (I’ve tried all of the ways when I try to launch HDLoader from within Codebreaker).

P.S. It’s not related to 75xx cb and usb problem since I have a 7xxx PAL version and have a usb-ide drive plugged in when I succeed to launch cb patched game from hd.
