which one to buy
about ready to go by a hard drive was wondering which is better a ide or usb one? will i have better speed or compatibility with one over the other. i know installing games would be easier with a usb one but im looking more towards compatibility then ease of use.

well so far OPL 0.7 is better than HDL .
OPL support HDD, USB HDD, SMB (over network) but you didnot said which version of PS2 you have ? and do you have network Adapter ?

i dont know what version i have. i lost all thing to do with ps2 when i moved. cant find it looked everywhere. kind of pissed had a 250 gig hd with over 100 games on it. found a usb hd on craigslist for 25$ so i guess im going that way. never mind the drive is missing the power cable didnt see that before. one more thing can i use a fire wire hd? im guessin not but thought id ask
