PS2 Exploit Utility

This is good for those with a retail HD Loader/HD Advance disc but will create an exploit for other methods as well
Create Exploit
Open the PS2 Exploit Utility app
put your psx game disc (any psx game or even a demo) into the PC's cd drive, then click on the first tab.
title.db
select the drive letter your cd drive is assigned in My Computer, then click the Get ID from CD then click add to title.db button. If you have a few more psx disc, you should add a few, just so you dont have to do this all over asgain if the disc dont work.

Loader
UlaunchELF v3.61 is already selected by default (unless you have the latest version), you can skip this part.

Files
Here you add any .elf file you want included on your MC browse for file(s), click add. Pay attention to the file size if your adding a lot. Dont exceed the amount of space you have available on your MC.

IP Options
If you plan to use FTP to install games or Xfer files to the PS2, put in your IP config here.

Region
Self explained

Extras
Dummy File
150MB for CD
999MB for DVD.
If you are installing via HD Loader/HD Advance , or With a cheat Cd and USB stick, then put 0
LaunchELF Pre-Configuration
This is where you can assign an app (from the 'files' you added) to a controller button. If your only using HDLoader or any single app & want it to load right away, set the .ELF autostart, select the .elf from the drop down box, set the delay to 2 secs.
Create Exploit
Select the CD/HD Image bin/cue, then click the Create Exploit! button.
Now this will save the bin/cue file to a folder on your C:/ drive, called iscentral

*Note* If you are able to boot a burned disc, just burn to Cd and boot it.

Install Image to HDD:
put your ps2 hdd into the PC
open Winhiip, click Select Drive button.
You should see the ps2 hdd it has (PS2) next to it. click on that one.
If HD Advance formatted the hdd correctly, you should see any games you have installed listed.
Next, click the Add Image(s) button & another window opens. Select the image button and you can navigate to C:/ iscentral
Select the .bin file, i forgot its name, iscentral or exploit installer, it should be the only selectable file there. Now click "start"
When its finished installing, you can close winhiip, remove the hdd & put it in the ps2.

Installing to MC:
Now run your HD Loader/HD Advance disc, select the Exploit Installer (or iscentral, whatever is called) & press X

When its done, remove the HD Loader/HD Advance disc & put in the PSX disc you used in making the title.db
Restart the PS2 & after a min or 2 a white flash.....UlaunchELF should be on your screen unless you set the delay to 2secs, then whatever app you chose will be on your screen.

Errors and solutions:

Failed to load control 'SSTab' from TABCTL32.OCX. Your version of TABCTL32.OCX may be outdated. Make sure you are using the version of the control that was provided with your application.
solution
Download the TABCTL32.rar file and RegSvr32GUIv10.zip (attatched)
Use RegSvr32GUIv10.zip to register the TABCTL32.OCX with windows

DiGiTaLeX has updated the Utility so it doesnt need the internet access anymore, so update yours with the one attatched

Well, after spending a couple weeks reading and rereading posts all over this site, hdloader.net, and exploitstation, downloading tons of files and programs, coming *this* close to just buying hda3.0, I finally decided to give putting hdl on my hdd a shot. My ps2 had hda 1.0 on it when I got it, and I had been wanting to upgrade. After a bit of trial and error I seem to have the the 0.8b anti-freeze I found here somewhere up and running. So, thanks alot to everyone who contributed here.
Two notes: 1. For those who may be wondering (I was), winhiip works with external USB drives (I have a laptop).
2. Everything noobs need to know can be found by sitting down and reading. I read everything, was blown away, then came back a few days later and it all made sense. Why pay for hda when hdl is free, and not stolen.

i got a problem...
I downloaded the exploit utility like a 1000 times and it always says that the beta has expired, check the website for new version, but there is no new version!
Is there any other program that does the same?? Because i really can't get passed this errror....

PS: i found something called independence compiler... It seems to be the same thing with a different name... Is that correct? Can i use to creat exploits?

What happens if you just click 'OK' to the error message? Does the apps close, or can you still use it?

Or just leave the error message there, just click on the app, can you still use it then?

NOPE, it either shuts down or freezes, right galen?

The app shuts down after i press OK... I guess i'm no good at this exploit stuff... I really wanted to do it but...
I don't use ZoneAlarm, and the error persists always...
I went and read your guide but there are no help tips specific for my problem...

I tried to use independence compiler but it sucks and it complicates an already complicated task!!

I guess i'm just not really understanding the whole process... Because i read somewhere that i could create a partition on my HD and put some ELF file on the boot sector and then i could launch the other ELF files from the partition... And maybe it would be simpler but i couldnt get anyway...
